Super Duper Bagel

This is pretty much a staple in our house. When Earl and I met many moons ago he told me about this sandwich that his mother created for him. You see Earl loves tuna, there are times I think he will turn into one, or at the very least start to grow gills or something.

Suffice it to say that this is one of Earl’s favorite brunches. It is served open faced and eaten with a knife and fork. Earl has had it on any number of bagels including poppy seed, pumpernickel, and his favorite sesame seed.

If you like sandwiches and like tuna and cream cheese you will love this. With a fresh ripe tomato slice on top and a sprinkle of salt and some freshly ground pepper it is really a meal that you will want come back to many times.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Spread the cream cheese over the bagel (no butter).
  2. Mix the tuna with the Miracle Whip or mayonnaise and spread over the cream cheese.
  3. Cut a 1/4" thick slice of tomato and place on the tuna.
  4. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  5. Enjoy!
